Busy Busy
Have been very busy over the last few days as the whole family went to KL over the weekend to celebrate Theng's wedding (and also Nigel's birthday). In fact, Theng remembered to get Nigel a cake during her wedding banquet and actually got her MC to announce and everyone to sing the birthday song - the cake was a Spongebob jelly cake which he happily shared with everyone at our table and also everyone not at our table. I think he must've had a ball with so many people singing for him - then again, he doesn't seem to suffer from stage fright and soaked in the moment with a big smile on his face. Everyone found him very cute as he went around and said "hi", for a moment, he stole the limelight away from Kevin and Theng.
Back in the very nice hotel we stayed at (Darby Apartments), we bought another cake for Nigel. Hey wait - this was before the dinner. We didn't bring his presents to KL though - would have been a big lug along I guess. We had a great view of the city, including front row seats to the KLCC park and the twin towers themselves - alas, this was mainly in Fred's room. Our side faced some other tall buildings - one that looked like an hourglass.
I'm now in Cupertino, CA again for a business trip. Just got in 3 hours ago and had dinner with the team. Am kinda zonked now so I'll wash up and hit the bed. Am thinking of waking up early to go for a run at the gym - let's see how things work out. Mum and Nigel sent me to the airport; I sat in the back with Nigel and took this picture of him on my phone. I'll be back in Singapore on Sunday - hopefully in time for mass.
We still have not seen Gene, Sharon or their triplets since they were born. Shows how busy we've been - I chatted with Gene yesterday and Sharon has checked out of the hospital already - but not the babies. They have to be 2kg first - Gene/Sharon has an extensive blog going at http://twothreefive.blogspot.com/ including pictures and all the technical details.
