Our poor baby girl
Shannon has been having pretty high fever for 2 days now - at first we thought it was because of teething and that it would go away. However, it got pretty high last night - above 40 degrees - so we decided to rush her to the kids clinic near by. Here are pictures of Celest cradling her while waiting for the doctor. She's hardly like this. Typically she's squiriming around and wanting to touch everything - so when she sits still and doesn't want to move much - you know something is wrong. Celest was so worried she kept asking me to check with the nurse to see if we could jump queue.
Turns out she has a throat infection which is causing the fever. She must have gotten it from me and Celest as we both had sore throat last week. Mine was especially terrible and it lasted more than a week - I also remember feeling somewhat feverish and lethargic; this is probably how Shanny was feeling as you can tell from the pictures.
As of this morning, she's slightly better. Had to give her some medication at 3am though. I hope she recovers today.
