Jambu for dessert

We had some big jambu air (water guava?), rambutans, longans and bua-duku for dessert after dinner last night. The fruits came courtesy of Mama (Leonard's grandmother) and Aunty Pauline who dropped by in the afternoon after a drip to Loyang.

Dad has a habit of taking the fruits out of the fridge early and disrupting Nigel's dinner - because he will want to eat the fruits and will start pushing away all the other fruit. What we typically do is let him hang on to a piece to "play" with it and promise him that he can eat it once he finishes his food.

Sometimes it doesn't work and his grandfather will let him eat in-between mouthfuls of his dinner. What a weird dinner combo - but anyway, it all ends up in the same place. Well - whatever works in getting him to eat I guess.

Shannon has begun to eat baby cereal and some brown rice recipe that Celest makes. I think she eats once or twice a day, but is otherwise still very much reliant on breast milk.

She does enjoy tasting new things and has tasted orange, durian, rambutan and probably some other fruits. Although she makes weird faces, she's always willing to open her mouth for more. Let's hope she grows up to be a more willing and enthusiastic eater than her older brother.

Fred and Bihye had friends come over on Saturday and Sunday nights to visit little Gabby (Gabriel) so it's been quite a happening house. Nigel was running around with an almost 3 year old boy called Evan last night - going crazy, falling down, throwing stuff, screaming - oh boy!
