Hi SP!
Hi Siew Ping! I didn't know you visit this blog - actually, I didn't know that anyone visited this blog at all! Anyway, glad to hear you did and saw the picture of your husband and me! Heh - he was threatening to sue me last night if I didn't take it down. Luckily for me, I now have some new pictures of him having prata again - apparently he's a prata addict, as witnessed by some last night.
This one was taken by Gene on his megapixel-camera phone. We're sitting at this prata shop outside a supermarket called Shop-N-Save. Given it was around 11.30pm, the store was closed. Although it seemed like Chua was saying grace before eating, he's not :) Besides, the prata was already eaten (notice the empty plate again). Also, despite my happy appearance, I was actually trying to ensure the mucus from my nose didn't continue to drip onto my lap and then later the floor - the flu remains and I tried to kill it with a cup of lime juice and teh halia (ginger tea) to no avail.
This is a picture of Gene and Sharon - I don't think you've met them before. You can also see the Shop-N-Save (what an oxymoron of a name huh) supermarket behind. Chua, Gene and the rest of us have shared some whacky moments in our younger days - for example, being caught for driving without a license, getting ""paw"-ed" during mahjong sessions, inhaling carbon monoxide in the back of vans, fighting over loud music among other things. Once we also spent a night in the long-kang outside the house - surreal.
The media-unfriendly DJ-Chua once again has to fight of the paparazzi - TWO in fact as can be seen in this picture on the left. This is the blatant and abusive act of taking someone's picture against their will with your camera phone. In Singapore, we've mastered this act by making sure that two people take photos at once, swarming the victim in an unforgiving stance of surrender. Unfortunately, in seems that Chua's pretty fast with his hands (or we're slow with our cameras). Luckily his Siemens phone does not have a camera, else we wouldn't have the upper "hand". Heh ...
